Will insurance cover salivary testing costs?

If you are visiting our office because of our extensive experience with salivary hormone testing and interpretation, there are a few things we would like you to know in advance. The labs that do the testing for us do not accept insurance. Consequently, initial testing is an out-of-pocket expense for our patients. Once we have your salivary result, we will file on your behalf for reimbursement but this cannot be done in advance. Kits are purchased in our office and are taken home by the patient for collection and mailing. Costs of testing vary depending on the extensiveness of tests ordered and will be given during your initial consultation.
